SystmOne GP is used by practices across England. It helps maximise QOF points, streamline work processes and most importantly, allows clinicians to concentrate on patient care. It has all the functionality you need including: intuitive appointments, protocols, advanced clinical tools and reports for commissioning & monitoring, and full integrated document management with OCR.

SystmOne Introduction

Aim: To provide staff with a basic overview of SystmOne and provide the skills required to use all of the communication tools within it

SystmOne MS Word Letter Templates

Aim: To provide staff with the skills to be able to create and manage letter templates using MS Word integration for recalls, referrals, patient letters and appointment Letters. Staff will also learn how to send referral letters, patient letters, recall letters and appointment letters using the MS Word Integrated Word Templates

Objectives:

  • Understand the differences between the different types of letters used in MS Word Integration
  • Know when to use different Data Sources within a template to enable specific mail merge fields
  • Create letter templates using the appropriate mail merge fields to include data from the patient’s record
  • Be able to amend and delete letter templates

Aim: To give staff the skills required to create, manage and publish questionnaires in SystmOne

Objectives:

  • Create, manage and amend questionnaires
  • Publish questionnaires locally, to an organisation group and make them available for online use by patients
  • Associate Read codes with answers to questions to facilitate data entry in the patient’s record
  • Create and manage “Scoring Groups” to group answers together to form a final score e.g. PHQ9 questions

Aim: To provide staff with the skills to use the advanced features of EMIS Web Searches and to create reports to extract data from patient’s records.

Objectives:

  • Use the “Count” function to search on the amount of times something has occurred.
  • Use the “Order/restrict/check” function to sort or limit the data found.
  • Use the “Linked feature” function to search for data based on the date of another piece of data.
  • Use the “Is NOT” function to exclusively exclude data.
  • Schedule searches to run automatically.
  • Export the results of a search.
  • Create auto-generated reports to extract pre-defined data from patient’s records.
  • Create manual reports to extract data from patient’s records.
  • Export data from a report.
  • Practice application of the training by carrying out a consolidation exercise.

Suitable for: Staff who are required to produce more complex searches than those covered in Session 1. Also for staff who need to extract data from a defined list of patients.

  • Create custom appointment reports based on either sessions or slots.
  • Create custom lists of patients to base searches and reports on.
  • Add data in bulk to a list of patients generated from a search or a custom list.
  • Practice application of the training by carrying out a consolidation exercise.

Suitable for: Staff who need to produce appointment and vaccination statistics or manage data entry at a practice level.

Pre-requisites:

  • Basic read coding knowledge.
