An introduction to EMIS Concepts and using them with Protocols.

Staff must have done both the Searches and the Protocols sessions beforehand or have a working knowledge of creating both Searches and Protocols.

This course is an introduction to building concepts and then using them to construct more advanced protocols. This course is suitable for staff who currently use EMIS at a GP Practice, and have already attended the EMIS Basic Protocols session and EMIS Searches course. Prior knowledge of building searches and protocols is essential for attending this course.


A live training session via Teams, demonstrating EMIS Web Concepts and protocols using a training GP unit. Trainees do not have to have the clinical system open; they will be watching the trainer use EMIS through Teams. Please ensure you can access Teams on your PC or laptop and that you have a working microphone.

  • Editing Concepts

You must have an NHS email address to be able to use Teams and access these courses.  Teams invites will be sent out the day before the course.
