Description

This course is an introduction to building concepts and then using them to construct more advanced protocols. This course is suitable for staff who currently use EMIS at a GP Practice, and have already attended the EMIS Basic Protocols session and EMIS Searches course. Prior knowledge of building searches and protocols is essential for attending this course.

Prerequisites:

Staff must have completed “Getting Started with EMIS” before attending this course, or have a good working knowledge of EMIS already.

Important
Staff must have attended both the Searches and the Protocols sessions beforehand or have a working knowledge of creating both Searches and Protocols.

Objectives:

  • Explain the purpose of a Concept and understand the concept Builder screen
  • Explain different types of Concept (Code, Medication, Diary & Rule)
  • Using concepts and triggers in protocols
  • Build Alert Protocols
  • Build Protocols with Multiple Concepts
  • Edit Concepts
