Description
A guide to some of the more advanced functions available within the Logical, Mathematical, Date & Time and Lookup categories.
Prerequisites
A good working knowledge of creating formulae and functions within Excel.
Ideally, previous attendance of “Introduction to Formulae and Functions” and “Introduction to Logical Functions” courses or equivalent experience.
Course outline
- Exploring the Formulas ribbon
- IF and IFS functions compared
- Using the mathematical functions of:
- COUNTIF and COUNTIFS
- SUMIF and SUMIFS
- Methods of rounding using:
- ROUND, ROUNDDOWN and ROUNDUP
- Calculating the differential between dates using:
- DATEDIF and NETWORKDAYS
- Deriving a new date using:
- EDATE and EOMONTH
- Returning the current date/time using:
- TODAY and NOW
- Manipulating a date using:
- DAY, MONTH, YEAR and DATE
- Using the CHOOSE function
The session will take between 45-55 minutes to complete and is followed by a Q & A which is optional to attend.
