The course is open to non-clinical staff to gain a better understanding of basic Medical Terminology to help them in their day to day work within GP practices
We help delegates understand –
- Medical words and their definitions
- How to break down the building blocks that make up the medical words into root words, prefixes and suffixes to enable them to understand the medical term used
- Medical symbols and abbreviations of medical words that they might come across in a patient record
The delegates are asked to complete a series of exercises in a workbook so that they gain confidence in what they have learnt.
