Description

This course introduces you to the OneNote application in its various guises but will largely focus on the Desktop version. There will be a demonstration of how OneNote can be utilised within a Microsoft Teams Channel and an explanation of the differences between the Online and Desktop versions. During the session, your tutor will provide the opportunity for you to experience OneNote’s collaborative qualities.

  • What is OneNote and where can it be used?
  • Creating your new Notebook
    • What are Sections, Pages and Subpages?
    • Reorganising your Notebook
    • Adding notes within a Page
  • Using the Insert ribbon
    • Inserting or removing space within a Page
    • Adding a Table
    • Positioning a File Printout
    • Adding a File Attachment
    • Inserting a new or existing Spreadsheet
  • Images in your Notebook
    • Obtaining a Screen Clipping
    • Inserting a Picture file
    • Extracting text from an image
    • Searching and filtering images found Online
  • Adding Links to web pages, files and other Notebook locations
  • Using the Draw ribbon
  • Using the Tags tool and locating existing tags
  • Adding OneNote into a Teams channel
  • Sharing your Notebook for collaboration

The session will take between 45-55 minutes to complete and is followed by a Q & A which is optional to attend.
