Supporting yourself in times of change
The half-day session aims to be a practical and thought provoking look at what change, wellbeing and resilience are and how to use this understanding to plan ways to be more effective in times of change both now and in the future.
The session will explore human responses to change and look at simple and effective ways to raise awareness of the impact of change so that individuals can plan ways to support themselves and others.
Delegates will be supported to;
- explore perceptions of change – the organisational landscape, and metaphors
- Focus on the individual, the cycle of, and responses to change with the brain in mind
- Build the mind-set for coping with change and focus on action plans to manage change well including individuals responses to others.
A personal reflective tool and development plan is used as the foundation of the programme so that individuals leave with a personalised plan of activities they can use to support themselves and others in times of change.
The development will be led by Julie McVeigh who is an Executive Developer, Supervisor, Coach, Trainer and Project Manager who has experience of working within a number of organisational settings. She is passionate about people and working with them to be the best they can be. Her approach is underpinned by the belief that given the right supportive conditions people will find the solutions to their issues through positive action.
