The following courses are a list of what can be provided remotely by the Clinical System Specialist team – customers are welcome to request courses on any topic within the clinical system.

These courses are designed to be delivered via Microsoft Teams to end users who have access to a PC/Laptop with a microphone and speakers.

Furthermore, the courses can be customised / devised according to requests.

EMIS Web - Clinical Induction

Intended Audience:

New Clinical staff in GP Practices.

EMIS Web - Admin Induction
This course is aimed to give new staff the ‘full’ picture about Emis Web, its key features, how to navigate around, hints and tips etc.

Intended Audience:

New administration staff in GP Practices. Please attend this session before booking onto any other courses.

Please note – Local process training will still be an essential part of training requirements but they will benefit from this formal training opportunity.

How an appointment book is created and amended.

Intended Audience:

The staff within a practice who are very familiar with EMIS and who wish to understand how to create and manage the appointment book.

Course length:

EMIS Web - Clinical Templates
How to create and manage Clinical / data entry templates.

Intended Audience:

For those who have not created Clinical Templates before or those who wish to return to basics.

Course length:
3 hours

EMIS Web - Letter Templates
How letter templates can be created and edited.

Intended Audience:

The staff within a practice who wish to understand how to create and amend Letter Templates.

Course length:
2.5 hours

EMIS Web - Searches & Reports
This course covers creating and running new Searches and Reports.

Intended Audience:

The staff within a practice who are not familiar with Searches & Reports in EMIS Web and who wish to know how to create and use them.

EMIS Web - Conepts & Protocols
Intended Audience:

Staff who create and amend concepts and protocols. Concepts & Protocols can guide a user to a preferred pathway of recording.
