Description

This training is restricted to NECS100 colleagues.

Writing a report is generally a task that is accepted as necessary but can be time-consuming and frustrating.  As business writing becomes more personal the need to use a more formal style but give technical information in plain English can make the task harder.  The key to a good report is to remember that it is not about the writer’s knowledge, it’s about giving the information the readers need, in a way they will understand.  This session shows participants how to write a good report.  It takes an example subject and follows the process of writing it, stage-by-stage, with good-practice examples and live explanation for each.

The training is suitable for those who are starting to write more formal reports or who want to make the task easier with a structure to improve their writing.

If you require any reasonable adjustments or accessibility support as part of the session, please let us know as soon as possible, or where possible a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the training date. This is to ensure that where feasible, appropriate accommodations can be put in place. If you have any concerns or queries in addition to this, then please contact the trainer/facilitator directly for a discussion.  Please contact necsu.training-od@nhs.net
