Description

This session will be held via Zoom  – the link will be sent to you before the start of the training – please also book onto Cohort 1 Sessions 1, 2 and 4

Session 3: emotional intelligence
Using our emotional intelligence well is a key skill of a great leader. Participants will be introduced to the Emotional Capital Report (an EI psychometric which is geared towards leadership, rather than a generic use) and encouraged to self assess themselves against this. Specific areas will be highlighted to demonstrate the relevance to effective leadership and how to develop this further.

Links will be made back to the first session on ‘self leadership’ and how the ability to recognise and manage own emotions is a critical component. Discussions around the impact of these behaviours and approaches on their colleagues and areas for further development will be identified.

You will then be encouraged to explore the Situational Leadership model (which is based on EI factors and designed by Daniel Goleman), again considering your own strengths and development areas in the context of the environment you are working in.

Either the booking cut off time has passed, or you are unable to book a place on this event due to security restrictions, please contact NECSU.learning@nhs.net if you believe this to be incorrect.
