Description

This EDI training is open to all NECS colleagues and will look at:

  • The importance of diversity and inclusion at NECS while examining the effects of privilege
  • Provide attendees with an understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and how it affects us as individuals and also as an organisation
  • Explore discrimination, case law, unconscious bias, disability and the support mechanisms in place for colleagues
  • Equip attendees with a knowledge of bullying, harassment and victimisation and how to respond in different situations, as well as outlining reporting pathways
  • Look at the difference between ‘banter’ and ‘incivility’
  • Provide attendees with relevant signposting and how to promote diversity and inclusion in their teams

If you have already attended or are planning on attending the Manager’s Passport Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Training, then it would not be necessary for you to attend this training session.

If you require any reasonable adjustments or accessibility support as part of the session, please let us know as soon as possible, or where possible a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the training date. This is to ensure that where feasible, appropriate accommodations can be put in place. If you have any concerns or queries in addition to this, then please contact the trainer/facilitator directly for a discussion.  Please contact necsu.equality@nhs.net
